Tinsel for Teens was inspired by a visit to the wish room at the John Theissen Children's Foundation where we noticed the shelf for teenagers was almost empty. We wanted to do something to help. We started a program to raise awareness and gather donations for sick and underprivileged teenagers. The support from the community, family, and friends has been amazing.
Tinsel for Teens is a program all about giving sick and underprivileged teens a happy holiday. We create pamper packages for teenagers with different items that would make them feel special. Packages include items such as Bath and Body Works products, fuzzy socks, slippers, lip balm, nail polish, makeup, art sets, pajama pants, puzzle books, playing cards, and sports items. The pamper packages are distributed to Nassau University Medical Center, Mount Sinai South Nassau, and the John Theissen Children's Foundation.
Purchase an item from our Amazon wish list at Amazon.com. Items will be combined to create a beautiful and unique pamper package. If you are local to Wantagh, you can also email tinselforteens@gmail.com to coordinate a pickup location.
